I'm not sure about you, but every time I start a quilt, I search my usual go-to spot for help: the Internet. I'm not saying there aren't any quilting resources out there, but many of the more useful resources that are there leave a bit to be desired by today's modern, innovative quilters.

I hope this community of Quiltivate can be one encouraging place for you and for me, today's quilters!

Most of us have heard that original quilting was done more out of necessity and later became more artistic. Most of today's quilters create quilts more as functionally artistic pieces, so we tend to be more passionate about innovation and doing things that are different and beautiful in our own eyes and homes.

So, let's do it! Let's innovate traditional quilting and make it our own!
